Khotan rugs are produced in East Turkestan and are interchangeably referred to as Samarkand rugs due to their close proximity to the cultural city center of the same name. This rug has been replicated, crafted by the same ancient techniques, using hand-spun Persian wool and natural dyes. It’s unique borders differentiate and modernize this rug, while still representing the beautiful designs and symbols commonly seen in Khotan rugs.
