A new exhibition highlighting Latin American design recently opened at the MoMA in New York, featuring stunning examples of original Mexican 20th century furniture, now reproduced under license by LUTECA (Suite 1608). Crafting Modernity: Design in Latin American Design, 1940-1980 curated by the esteemed Mexican design curator and art historian, Ana Elena Mallet, features a number of pieces by the cuban-born designer and female pioneer, Clara Porset as well as American Mexican designer, Michael van Beuren.

Luteca has been working under license with UNAM in Mexico City and the Van Beuren family for several years, to reissue their iconic designs for use in some of the very best design projects in the world. Layered with historical references and a tropical modernist approach, you can find their meticulous reproductions in its 16th floor showroom.
