Touch + Feel
Two dynamic collections come to life this season: One through 18th-century artistry and the other modern couture detailing… both through bespoke craftsmanship.
For Kravet, beauty begins with process. Placing materiality on a pedestal and a reverence for heritage front and center, the esteemed fabric and furnishing house creates inspired designs that connect quality and artistry from one collection to the next. And their latest debuts are certainly no exception.
THREAD COUNT
Grounded in heritage with an eye toward the future, Kravet Couture introduces Atelier Weaves—a collection inspired by the beauty of the natural world and all the purity nature provides us. The studio searched for the finest materials woven by skilled craftspeople who turned to traditional artisanal techniques that employ many organic fibers and a palette of natural hues. Atelier Weaves artfully balances a sense of tradition through hand-touched, bespoke craftsmanship alongside cutting-edge couture details and cultural influences eliciting an air of modernity. The result is a supremely sophisticated upholstery collection that encompasses tactile textiles that are irresistibly soft to touch.
BROAD STROKES
Celebrating two-hundred years of style-forward textiles, Lee Jofa presents the dynamic 200 Collection, showcasing the brand’s many generations and contributions within the interior design industry. The exclusive anniversary textile collection features archival patterns in fresh colorways and explores the span of the brand’s history—from a traditional 18th-century palampore to a 1960s chinoiserie. The assortment of sixteen classic patterns includes printed fabric, wovens and embroideries, each offered in two new re-colorations. A collection of coordinating wallcovering is also forthcoming.
